Heceta Head Lighthouse

Two hundred feet above the ocean, this lighthouse stands. Battered by the elements since 1894, its beam has been guiding ships’ captains from over twenty miles out; to the Head. Lightkeepers and their families lived in this then-remote location to tend the beam. Rumors have it that the spirit of Rue, thought to be one of the lightkeeper’s wives, still resides there.
